Dear Sir/Madam:

May we request you to be one of our respondents in developing the IT Service Market Survey and Analysis for Lao PDR?

At present, the Consultant Team of the “Project on Human Resource Development in IT Service Industry at the National University of Laos,” a JICA-funded project is conducting a survey among stakeholders in developing a Specialist Course in IT. Specifically, the Project aims to contribute to the economic development of Lao PDR by establishing a sustainable system for developing human resources in the government and the private sectors. The concept of the Project is in line with the “Asia Information Technology Initiative (AITI)” advocated by the Japanese government since 2002. As well, the Project needs to: clarify the current situation of Lao’s domestic IT service market; analyze the current situation and indicate the ideal situation of Lao IT industry over the next five years; and clarify the necessary measures to realize the future ideal situation of the IT industry.
In this regard, we would like to request your company to fill-up the attached questionnaire.

Your responses will form the basis of developing the IT Specialist Course. We firmly believe that your ample experience would greatly help us in shaping up a curriculum to meet your needs and in planning the next cooperation of JICA in IT field. We would appreciate very much if we can have the duly filled-up questionnaire on or before 23 November 2009.
